ATOPISCHE STADTERKUNDUNGEN PART 2 – a sonic exploration through Barmbek

As part of the 2024 International Summer Festival, Kampnagel and the artist collective JAJAJA invited audiences to join the ATOPISCHE STADTERKUNDUNGEN PART 2 – an acoustic expedition through Hamburg-Barmbek. Over the course of 2.5 hours, 21 participants moved between the Planetarium and Kampnagel, guided by a live radio tour blending ambient sounds, interviews, and site-specific recordings.

All three dates in August – the 10th, 17th, and 24th – were sold out, and received as collective listening experiences that opened up new ways of engaging with the city.
